Ammunition and fuzes

The Frankford Arsenal, in the Frankford district of Philadelphia, was a United States arsenal that concentrated on the making of ammunition and its components, including primers and fuzes. Packets of paper time fuzes marked to Frankford are among the identifiable products of the arsenal.

Its output of cartridges, friction primers, and fuzes made it one of the principal ammunition establishments supplying the Federal armies.
