Schenkl's impact fuze
The Schenkl percussion fuze was a brass impact fuze from the Schenkl line of rifled ammunition. On striking the target, a plunger was driven onto a primer to fire the shell's bursting charge, the standard percussion principle.
It is found with Schenkl and other rifled shells and is identified by its brass body and internal mechanism.
